Calm waters reflecting the Solace philosophy of care

Care Rooted in Respect and Warmth

Our story is one of quiet commitment — to the seniors we welcome, the families who trust us, and the values we uphold each day.

Our Story

Solace began in 2014 as a small family effort — a response to a deeply personal experience. When our founder's grandmother needed full-time care, the family struggled to find a place that felt like more than a facility. The places they visited were clean and professional, but they lacked something harder to define: a sense of home.

That experience became the guiding principle behind everything Solace does. We set out to create a space where seniors could feel genuinely comfortable — not as patients in a care institution, but as people living their lives with support, dignity, and warmth around them.

Over the years, Solace has grown from a single residential programme into a small collection of services — including short-term comfort stays and a wellbeing programme — all shaped by the same philosophy. We remain small by design. Keeping our community close allows us to know each person well and respond to what they actually need, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

Today, we serve families across Singapore from our home on Queenstown Road. The location is quiet, well-connected, and close to green spaces — a setting that supports the kind of gentle, unhurried daily life our residents deserve.

Our Mission

To provide a caring, respectful home for seniors in Singapore — one where individual needs are met with patience, families are welcomed with openness, and every person is treated with the dignity they deserve. We measure our success not in numbers, but in the quality of life we help sustain.

Our Values

Compassion First

Every decision, from daily routines to staffing, is shaped by a genuine care for the people we serve. Empathy is not an afterthought — it is the starting point.

Honest Communication

We keep families informed and involved. We speak plainly, share openly, and welcome questions — because trust is built through honesty, not polished language.

Dignity in Every Detail

From how we address residents to how we arrange their living spaces, we aim to preserve autonomy, preference, and personal identity in everything we do.

Steady Improvement

We regularly review our practices, listen to feedback, and look for ways to do things better — not through dramatic changes, but through thoughtful, ongoing refinement.

The People Behind Solace

Our team is small, dedicated, and brought together by a shared belief in the kind of care we provide.

All clinical decisions are supervised by our Head of Clinical Care. Medication management, health monitoring, and emergency protocols follow established medical guidelines for elder care.

Our care team participates in regular professional development covering first aid, dementia awareness, fall prevention, and person-centred care practices.

Safety Protocols

Fire safety systems, 24-hour monitoring, emergency response plans, and secure entry systems are maintained throughout the facility and tested at regular intervals.

Nutrition Standards

Meals are planned with input from nutrition guidelines for seniors, accommodating medical dietary needs, cultural preferences, and individual tastes. Our kitchen follows SFA food safety standards.

Data Privacy

Resident and family data is handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Medical records are stored securely with controlled access.

Our Approach to Elderly Care in Singapore

Singapore's ageing population brings with it a growing need for care environments that go beyond the clinical. At Solace, we approach elderly care as a relationship — one built on knowing each person, understanding their background, and responding with sensitivity to their changing needs.

Our residential programmes are designed around daily rhythms rather than rigid schedules. Mornings begin at a pace that suits each individual. Activities are offered, not imposed. Meals are prepared with an understanding that food is more than nutrition — it is comfort, culture, and connection.

For families navigating the complex decisions that come with elder care, we offer a space where questions are welcomed and pressure is absent. We understand that the decision to entrust someone you love to another's care is not a small one. We take that trust seriously, and we work to honour it through the way we show up every day.

Whether you are considering long-term residential care, a temporary stay during a period of change, or a structured wellbeing programme, we invite you to visit our home, meet our team, and see what life at Solace looks like up close. Sometimes the right decision becomes clearer when you simply walk through the door.
